INTRODUCTION

Welcome to our Web Site

The Third Age has been operating since 1985, providing an opportunity for people with 'time on their hands' to take up another interest; the choices are numerous during the Autumn and Winter periods as you can see from the 2010 - 2011 prospectus.  The thing that strikes most people when they join a class is the friendliness and informality.  Why don't you see for your self.

The organisation is run by volunteers both for the committee and the tutors.  Without the tutors the organisation could not exist and we are constantly on the lookout for tutors, could you become  one?  Contact Ken Bruffell on 01924 515104

The annual membership and Class fees are £6 and (10 week class term) £9 respectively.  The increase in class fees is due to equipment purchases and increased room rental charges.

Please note if you attend any class after the 31st March 2010 it will be necessary to renew your membership - valid until 31st March 2011

NOTE   We apologise for the fact that several classes are full.  We are strenuously seeking new Tutors or Leaders, especially in Art and French for Beginners as well as other subjects of interest to our members.  If you can help in any way, please contact Ken Bruffell on 01924 515104.

Committee Members

A new committee member will be required after the AGM 5th July 2010.

General duties of a trustee are:

Attend Committee meetings, generally volunteer for attending the Wednesday Help Desk 1 - 2.30pm at Dewsbury Town Hall once  every month.  All trustees are asked to support Third Age events when possible.  All the committee officers positions, e.g. Treasurer etc are currently filled.  Maybe at sometime you might volunteer to fill such a position.  The duties obviously change in that event.

Alongside the classes the following activity is available
